first week of studying in a foreign country

After spending my first week in a foreign country, I decided to write down my impressions.

Our journey was a real challenge and so was the moving into our new rooms too. We had to go throw forests and sludge and our suitcases were too big and heavy to carry them.
To feel more at home in my new room, I decorated it with all the presents I got and lots of pictures.

At the first weekend in Denmark we joined a carnival-party and had our first dinner at the floor in Julia´s room.

The first days at the University were great. Everybody is so kind and tries to do the best for us. Even the librarian tried to make us feel welcome and gave us some sweets while she was explaining the whole library-thing to us.

In this week we also joined our first Danish Class and learned some sentences in Danish. It was very funny, because people from different countries have different pronunciations and so one word in Danish sounded like five different words.

The shopping trips were very exhausting, because we always bought so many things that we had to carry at least 2 bags per person. When we got our bikes, we thought this problem would be solved but suddenly there appeared another one. Driving with the bike is not as easy as it seems. :)

On Friday, the 22nd  of February all Erasmus-Students joined the “Tour de Chambres”. At this tour we went through all rooms and looked how the other people are living and how their rooms look like. After this tour some of us joined a small party at the white house, which was very much fun.

Now, after the first week passed I am glad to say that I made the right decision. I am so happy to be here and to have this great experience. I really have to say that I love this country and the whole atmosphere here.
